Unlocking the Potential of Children and Youth

Childhood and adolescence is a special time in the life of an individual, for it is a distinctive period of learning and development.  Bahá’ís believe education that focuses on moral development at childhood is fundamental to human happiness.

Nurturing those capacities can enable genuine human cooperation and citizenship to emerge in our children and youth.

Drawing on the teachings of the Bahá’í Faith, children’s classes aim to inspire in children a love for God and the Founders of all the great religions in the world. The classes also aim to build a resilient moral framework that will assist children in achieving excellence in the material, intellectual, and spiritual aspects of life.

Youth are guided to develop a strong sense of purpose, empowering their own transformation and leading them to contribute to the advancement of society. Bahá’ís believe that young people’s spiritual capacity, the basis for their own happiness and sense of well-being, is a powerful force for social change.

Classes for children and youth are conducted in neighbourhoods and communities across Malaysia. These classes are open to children and youth of all back¬grounds and are often run in collaboration with their families.

“Regard man as a mine rich in gems of inestimable value. Education can, alone, cause it to reveal its treasures,

and enable mankind to benefit therefrom.”

− Bahá’u’lláh –

“Among the greatest of all services that can possibly be rendered by man to Almighty God is the education and

training of children…”

− ‘Abdu’l-Bahá −
